Self Imposed Limitations

We are unlimited, but we set limits for ourselves. I was listening to a recording by Earl Nightingale and he said "We set limits or restrictions for ourselves by holding a mental image that is inadequate for the realization of our potential". This means that many people are living as victims of their own limited perspective of themselves, their worth and potential. In order to break down seld Imposed limitations we must first improve our self image. 1.People are not incapable but the problem is they think they are  - THOUGHT is creative. When you begin to think you cannot reach certain goals or achieve a certain level of success, you then act consistently with your self image. This simply means you become what you think about. If you think you can run a 21km marathon, then you can. Conversely if you do not think you can run a 21 km marathon then you cannot. This might all sound like a "tale" but it is nothing but the truth. Many people say "I am not good wit...

Faith Is Insanity

Faith can simply be described as "insanity" by the logical person. This should not be surprising because many people live their lives by sight(logic) not by faith. Almost all the greatest people who achieved the seemingly impossible were at one point or another referred to as "crazy".This means that people associate believing in things that cannot be seen with mental illness. If you declare that you are healed when you are sick, it seems as if you are delusional or hallucinating but the declaration is just a display of faith (Faith is the fabric of the impossible). I was thinking about the story of Noah (and the ark) in the Bible. I can imagine what people thought or even said about him when he was building the ark because he "believed" there would be a flood. He acted the way he did because he had a revelation (encounter) and he knew he had to act on faith not logic. What I am to clarify to you is that anytime you act on faith your sanity may be question...

Elevate Your Conversation

Elevation changes perspective.  Your speech is s reflection of your thought or opinion. Can you agree that every word you speak is as a reflection of what you are thinking? The Bible states that out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks. Whatever we think about in our minds (Concious) will be impressed on our hearts (subconscious ). 1.Whenever you speak about a sad experience, it is because you are thinking about a sad experience . Examples below (a) The pastor speaking about a Jesus that can save anybody, is thinking about a Jesus  that can save anybody. (b) The doctor speaking about how tired she is after surgery, is thinking about how tired she is after surgery. People reveal their thoughts in their words and words create our world. My own biased analysis of the situation leads me to believe that in order to elevate our conversation, we must first lift our thoughts. Thoughts are based on frequencies , just like radio sets and cellphones work. In order for me to eleva...

Poor Management

The late Dr Myles Munroe once said "What you do not manage, you will lose". One clearly has to be a good manager in order to acquire things and to achieve goals . We need to therefor learn to become good managers or "custodians ", in order to achieve & increase. Many of us are living a miserable life because we do not manage anything in our lives, we just do anything at anytime haphazardly without a plan or a purpose. The difference between the poor & the wealthy, may just be management principles. All the billionaires in the world  can tell you today that there is a lot of management built into their life. They manage money, people & systems. Poor people do not have proper systems hence they remain bound by poverty. We all know that financial status is not just by coincidence but by lifestyle or attitude , for there is a system at work in everyone's life. Take writing this book for instance, it requires that I manage my time, otherwise I would j...

Be Solution Concious

The world has always favored those who had solutions, the problem solvers. What problems are you solving in the world today? Those who amass large amounts of wealth and make a name for themselves seem to always be bearers of an answer to somebody's call. From ploticians to astute business people to health care practioners, one thing remains common ;They exist to fill a "need" in the "makert". The world has many problems and it needs solutions.Examples below : 1.Tesla  exists to solve a problem. 2.DHL courier company exists to solve a problem. 3.Boeing exists to solve a problem. 4.Cellphones exist because they solve a problem. 5.Banks exist...... 6.NGO's exist to solve a problem.  7.Houses exist because they solve a problem.  Almost everybody has a solution but they might just not realize it. You might just think you are working a job but you are either selling products or providing services (This is problem solving)  1.Plumbers solve problems.  2.Musicians so...

The War of Art

Everyday we are in a constant battle, fighting an invisible enemy. When mankind speak about the "enemy", we assume they are talking about the devil, but this is not the enemy I am writing about in this text. The enemy i am writing about is resistance and it aims to stop us from being all that we can be. Wherever there is resistance we seem to give in and quit before we embarrass ourselves. Resistance comes in many forms , shapes and sizes. Here are a few examples of RESISTANCE'S GREATEST HITS (Adapted from a book titled the War of Art by Steven Pressfield) 1.The persuit of any calling in writing, painting, music, film or any creative art -We all have a calling to create something (e. g music) but what stands in our way is resistance, we know very well what we are called for but we never take the leap or build a bridge to make it all possible. We end up never getting much done for fear of failure or uncertainty about the turn out of the activity (e.g writing a book ). Ultim...

The Self Audit

Auditing is usually associated with accounting and business analysis but today I want to talk about an audit of self done by self. An Audit is the examination or inspection of various books of accounts by an auditor followed by physical checking of inventory to make sure that all departments are following documented system of recording transactions. It is done to ascertain the accuracy of financial statements provided by the organisation. I would like to share a concept that will enable us to track our actions and our progress in our lives. The only way to do it effectively is by paying attention to the outcomes of our daily actions. I will even go as far as suggesting that keeping records on our daily actions and our goals is a GREAT idea.  Examine the last 5 years of your life, and make a list of areas where you want to see change or improvement. Then realise that it is all up to you to make the necessary improvements. If we do not pay attention and begin to audit our lives we wi...
