The Rock of Ages

The truth that God is the rock of ages is multi-dimensional and  revelational. This metaphor shows that no matter what happens, he will always be there and never change. He stays the same forever. This truth must bring joy and peace to every believer of the living God . Pastor Michael Phillips (The Potters House) expressed it like this "God is the constant and we are the variable " . This simply means that he remains the same and gives us time as an opportunity to change ourselves and our circumstances. I have heard many people in my native language siSwati say "rather trust a stone than a person ", I say to you "Trust the rock of ages". Ecclisiastes 3 talks of a set time for everything beneath the sky ,tragically most of us crave as it were a particular time and detest the rest. What we must acknowledge is that as long as we are beneath the sun ,diverse occasions will take place. What we must discover consolation in is that the God who exists exterior of ti...

Succession Plan

I have noticed throughout time that the majority of our families do not have a succession plan. This implies that the creations of a single generation are not shared with subsequent generations."Success without a successor is failure," as the late Dr. Myles Munroe once stated. Unlike all of my other writings, this one will focus mostly on my lovely nation, "The Kingdom of Eswatini."I am writing this work because I have observed throughout time that all of a matriarch's or patriarch's hard work dies with them.Their legacy is left in ruins after they pass away. This culture has resulted in chaos and a great deal of internal strife as everyone vies for control.  Any serious student of world history will quickly discover that every great kingdom that has endured through the ages has a well-thought-out succession plan in place.Even if there is a well-thought-out succession plan in our families, it is rarely followed because of the widespread feelings of rivalry a...

The Teachability Index (PART 1)

Image
Your aptitude for learning new skills is gauged by the teachabilty index .My motivation for writing about this is my conviction that increased knowledge and understanding will enable us to have a bigger impact on our families, organisations, and nations overall. The Wilson Law, which makes it abundantly evident that wealth results from knowledge that is learned and applied is another reason I wrote this essay. In this work, the term "teacher's" refers to persons, experiences, books, the Internet, and a plethora of other information sources. There are a lot of "informed" people in the world; we know a lot about a wide range of subjects.I draw attention to this to make it clear that in order to differentiate oneself, we need to possess knowledge and expertise that is above ordinary. This necessitates exceeding average knowledge and skill levels thus having a high teachability index.  It is critical that we are not just willing to learn, but also to change and be tra...

One Dimensional Religious Thinking (The Fixed Mindset)

Image
Most people, I suppose, are now aware that the quality of one's ideas dictates the quality of one's life. This means that if you can change your thinking, you can change your life. Most of us are rigid in our thinking, in the sense that we have made up our minds and refuse to question new data and reach new conclusions on a variety of themes.People with a fixed mindset Concrete Beliefs feel that their brains, talents, and personalities are fixed attributes that cannot be developed. They believe that humans are born with a specific amount of talent (or special capabilities) that cannot be improved with time. This way of thinking is at the root of all stagnation because how can your life change if your thoughts stay the same? All philosophers, teachers, and even religious experts agree that we become what we think about. Many people believe they are disadvantaged, and they continue to verbalise and preach this negative gospel to anyone who will listen. Eventually, they paralyse them...

Systems Vs Goals (Edited Republish)

There are various systems at work in our world, ranging from financial markets to political processes. These mechanisms are present in every setting where activities take place, regardless of how obvious they are. Since the systems I write about come before any outcomes, there is a consequence (effect) for every system (cause). People can only learn some things through an established educational system. The country's judicial system, or judiciary, is in charge of interpreting, upholding, and enforcing the law as well as arbitrating cases. There are even mechanisms in place to manage people and nations. Perhaps you're wondering what systems need to accomplish in regard to objectives. Results are always preceded by organized systems. The fact that we all have goals but don't have any mechanisms in place to guarantee that we achieve them is really concerning. It's common for people to make resolutions for the upcoming year at the start of each year. Though most people have ...

Heavy Is The Crown (part 1)

Image
People in high positions are respected and envied in our society, and the same is true of those who are wealthy or affluent, risk-takers and high achievers. We hardly ever witness the suffering and sacrifices these people go through—all we ever see is the flash and beauty. Although it is always simpler to believe that those in positions of power have it easy, this isn't always the case.I've spent hours researching the lives and work ethics of some of the most well-known individuals on the planet.Their general outlook, mindset, and willingness to tolerate discomfort seem to distinguish them apart from the average person. In this essay, I want to use Elon Musk as my case study.Elon Musk is the owner of Tesla, Space X, Nueralink, The Boring Company, and X (previously Twitter) Click Here To Read More About Elon Musk .In addition, he has a family that depends on him as a parent ,a son and as a brother. It is important to note that, according to my investigation, he works seven days...
