Heavy Is The Crown (part 1)

People in high positions are respected and envied in our society, and the same is true of those who are wealthy or affluent, risk-takers and high achievers.

We hardly ever witness the suffering and sacrifices these people go through—all we ever see is the flash and beauty. Although it is always simpler to believe that those in positions of power have it easy, this isn't always the case.I've spent hours researching the lives and work ethics of some of the most well-known individuals on the planet.Their general outlook, mindset, and willingness to tolerate discomfort seem to distinguish them apart from the average person.

In this essay, I want to use Elon Musk as my case study.Elon Musk is the owner of Tesla, Space X, Nueralink, The Boring Company, and X (previously Twitter)Click Here To Read More About Elon Musk .In addition, he has a family that depends on him as a parent ,a son and as a brother. It is important to note that, according to my investigation, he works seven days a week and only takes two or three days off year.

As I write this, Elon has a net worth of approximately $225.5 billion. We frequently talk about and praise his financial situation rather than the hardships and pains he has had to overcome to attain everything he has in his lifetime. After highlighting a few aspects of Elon, let me to say that it is surprising and perplexing how much criticism he gets from people who are unable to manage even one successful start-up.It is simpler to criticise someone who is incredibly successful without taking into account the amount of effort they put in to get their goals.

As I discussed in my earlier essay, "Why Is Prosperity Demonized" (October 1, 2023), it is simpler to criticise and condemn those who are performing far better than us than it is to  "take notes" from them.It is important to remember that not everyone is willing to put in the necessary effort to reach extremely high levels of achievement (IT DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE INCAPABLE, JUST UNWILLING TO MAKE CERTAIN SACRIFICES).Stated differently, he wouldn't wear a crown because he wouldn't be a king but rather a common person.

People tend to love the average person—the underachiever with little faith and determination, in my opinion.According to my research, there is an unspoken competition between all of us, which is why the greatest people are seldom honoured during their lifetimes.

It has dawned on me that the greatest thinkers, inventors, and revolutionaries are never honoured during their lifetimes because their contemporaries greatly misunderstand and envy them. "I guess everybody loves you until you are loved by everybody," said poet Refiloe Phoolo in the modern era.In other words, we all admire the driven and aspirational worker—as long as their goals remain unfulfilled.

The terrible truth I am writing about in this article is understood by anyone holding a leadership position. I can now clearly see from my analysis that the only way to avoid becoming the envy of others and receiving harsh criticism is to be an average person who never excels those in your generation or even in your workplace.

Joseph, the "King" of the Bible, got into difficulties when he told his brothers about his dream, to the point that they sold him. This is at the heart of what I am writing about in this thesis; if Joseph had never envisioned himself on the Throne, he would not have gotten into all that trouble, but it is plain to me now that the crown is heavy. Imagine what will happen to you if you are genuinely successful with undeniable proofs! Joseph was sold because he had a vision of success.
