Be Solution Concious

The world has always favored those who had solutions, the problem solvers. What problems are you solving in the world today? Those who amass large amounts of wealth and make a name for themselves seem to always be bearers of an answer to somebody's call. From ploticians to astute business people to health care practioners, one thing remains common ;They exist to fill a "need" in the "makert". The world has many problems and it needs solutions.Examples below : 1.Tesla  exists to solve a problem. 2.DHL courier company exists to solve a problem. 3.Boeing exists to solve a problem. 4.Cellphones exist because they solve a problem. 5.Banks exist...... 6.NGO's exist to solve a problem.  7.Houses exist because they solve a problem.  Almost everybody has a solution but they might just not realize it. You might just think you are working a job but you are either selling products or providing services (This is problem solving)  1.Plumbers solve problems.  2.Musicians so...

The War of Art

Everyday we are in a constant battle, fighting an invisible enemy. When mankind speak about the "enemy", we assume they are talking about the devil, but this is not the enemy I am writing about in this text. The enemy i am writing about is resistance and it aims to stop us from being all that we can be. Wherever there is resistance we seem to give in and quit before we embarrass ourselves. Resistance comes in many forms , shapes and sizes. Here are a few examples of RESISTANCE'S GREATEST HITS (Adapted from a book titled the War of Art by Steven Pressfield) 1.The persuit of any calling in writing, painting, music, film or any creative art -We all have a calling to create something (e. g music) but what stands in our way is resistance, we know very well what we are called for but we never take the leap or build a bridge to make it all possible. We end up never getting much done for fear of failure or uncertainty about the turn out of the activity (e.g writing a book ). Ultim...

The Self Audit

Auditing is usually associated with accounting and business analysis but today I want to talk about an audit of self done by self. An Audit is the examination or inspection of various books of accounts by an auditor followed by physical checking of inventory to make sure that all departments are following documented system of recording transactions. It is done to ascertain the accuracy of financial statements provided by the organisation. I would like to share a concept that will enable us to track our actions and our progress in our lives. The only way to do it effectively is by paying attention to the outcomes of our daily actions. I will even go as far as suggesting that keeping records on our daily actions and our goals is a GREAT idea.  Examine the last 5 years of your life, and make a list of areas where you want to see change or improvement. Then realise that it is all up to you to make the necessary improvements. If we do not pay attention and begin to audit our lives we wi...

Speak Into The Atmosphere

Mind your words for they carry a lot of power. Positive words & negative ones, come to life as soon as we speak them. The words become flesh and they materialize. My spiritual father Bishop J. V Hlatjwayo said "If you do not want to see it, do not say it".I am not sure if he was the first to say this but his words have echoed in my mind day in, day out.  When God, the master creator began the beginning, he spoke and said "Let there be" and there it was. His words became flesh and they manifested into the physical. We have the same power, the Bible says the power of life and death lies in the tongue. Be careful what you say whenever you speak into the atmosphere. Are you speaking life or death? You create your world with your words, whatever you say will manifest in your world. Whatever you say, you will see. Begin to be mindful of your speech, you will cause change in the atmosphere. DR Myles Munroe said "Do not study actions, study consequences". Your...

The Principle Of Multiplication

Most of us are familiar with the story of a boy who had two fish and five loaves of bread. The food was multiplied by Jesus and he fed a very large crowd. Jesus multiplied five loaves and two fish into enough food to feed a multitude. This story is found in John 6:1-15 The first thing you have to realize is that for mulitiplication to happen, we must have something which can be multiplied. This means if you give me 1 dollar I can multiply it and make it two or maybe one hundred  or even one million. My point here is we cannot multiply nothing but we can multiply something. The boy in the sctipture in the Bible had something (Two fish and five loaves of bread), you also have something and though I am not sure what you have, I am certain you have something. Mathematicians say that the items multiplied are called factors and the result of their Multiplication is called a product.  2 × 6 = 12 In the example above 2 and 6 are the factors and the ansewer(12) is the product. I want to...

Happiness Is Not For Sale

Money can buy you anything but happiness (unless your happiness has a price tag) . Many are times I have bought stuff thinking the acquisition would make me happy not realizing that being happy is a desicion(not a new car or sneakers).  We use money to buy objects and products /services.My argument is that our lives revolve around money, we go to school to learn just so we make money. One of the biggest mistakes one can make is to think having money opens doors to happiness when all it does is enable you to buy materials and pay for services (Happiness is neither a material or a service).  If you can be happy with no money, you can be happy with one billion emalangeni. 1.Happiness is internal. This is to say that if your happiness is rooted externally, it will not last, for people and circumstances will always change.  So if you are happy because someone said you are the most beautiful girl in the world, you will be angry when another person comes and says you are the ugl...

Deliberate Practice

The term ‘deliberate practice’ was coined by K. Anders Ericsson a psychologist, to describe a type of practice which ‘is a highly structured activity, the explicit goal of which is to improve performance. This concept goes on to suggest that talent may not be the cause of high quality work  but practise is. Not just any kind of practise but "Deliberate Practice", that is carried out specifically to lead to expert performance.  Personally I realize that practice is not only helpful but painful to some extent. Take the marathon runner who has to stay in practice in order to reach a certain level of performance, there is a lot of stress and pressure attached to the repeated activity.  As I write these words I am engaging in deliberate practice, I realize that I cannot become the best writer over night but over a period of systemic & deliberate practice.I am focused on a certain goal of personal development & improving performance . I understand that this is a journey...

The Tribe Of Complainers

E veryone can complain, it is not a talent.Complaining doesn't make you special but it does sign you up quickly to the tribe of complainers. Almost everywhere I go I hear the same thing, everyone is complaining about something or someone. This disease has ravaged almost all of society, not to suggest people should not use their right of free speech but my aim is to highlight to you that complaining does not make things or people better. Has anything changed ever since you started complaining? A society of complainers is highly unlikely to make permanent changes because they all feel as if "life" is unfair to them so they never go against the grain, they just opt for complaining. When we face challenges or are hurt or misunderstood we should not complain but accept reality thus remind ourselves that the power of life and death is in the tounge. Take the throngs of people complaining about their boss or the poverty in their community, they do not realize that the only wa...

The Power of The Tongue

Proverbs 18:21 Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat its fruits. Our tongues are the custodians of our destiny, whatever we speak becomes real.  Many people are living in perpetual failure and pain because of the words they have dared to utter. Those who say "I am blessed", are indeed blessed and those who say "I am cursed", are indeed cursed. Words carry power but many of us do not realise this hence we speak anyhow not minding our language. Our words are prophetic by nature though we may not realise this. Elon Musk is where he is today not only because he is a "genius" but also because of the words he spoke. He said he(Tesla Company) will build the first fully autonomous electric car and went on to do it.  We all have the power to build or destroy and it is in our tongues. Look over your whole life, try to remember things you had spoken long time ago and realise that it has manifested and that you are living in a...
