The Principle Of Multiplication
Most of us are familiar with the story of a boy who had two fish and five loaves of bread. The food was multiplied by Jesus and he fed a very large crowd. Jesus multiplied five loaves and two fish into enough food to feed a multitude. This story is found in John 6:1-15
The first thing you have to realize is that for mulitiplication to happen, we must have something which can be multiplied. This means if you give me 1 dollar I can multiply it and make it two or maybe one hundred or even one million. My point here is we cannot multiply nothing but we can multiply something. The boy in the sctipture in the Bible had something (Two fish and five loaves of bread), you also have something and though I am not sure what you have, I am certain you have something.
Mathematicians say that the items multiplied are called factors and the result of their Multiplication is called a product.
2 × 6 = 12
In the example above 2 and 6 are the factors and the ansewer(12) is the product.
I want to point out that God has blessed us all with something which can be multiplied. God will never ask for what you do not have, he asks you for what you have.
Okay now back to the story about the boy with the fish and loaves of bread. Do you think it makes any logical sense that two fish and five loaves of bread was multiplied and fed 5000 people ? Well whenever Jesus steps into a situation logic goes outside the window and secondly whatever you put in his hands will multiply.
Things multiply after themselves, this is to say if you wanted to multiply me all you would get is more people, so is the case with the fish and the loaves of bread(Also the same for the women who had a little oil in her house, the prophet multiplied the oil). This means that even though God is the creator, he will not multiply what you will not give him or what you do not have.
Money when invested becomes more money.
From one seed a plant grows with seeds in it to become other plants(In a seed there is a whole forest).
Lions beget lions
Jesus said, Give, and it will be given to you. This is about multiplication and growth, if you "give" a seed to the soil the soil will "give" back a plant /tree to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38
The blessing of the Lord has to be there for this type of Multiplication to occur.
In the story found in John 6:1-15 the disciples thought they had nothing because they were looking at the food using their physical eyes. Our physical eyes show us what is not what can be. Whatever you have in your life can be more that what it seems when blessed by the Lord, Jesus Christ. What seems small in your eyes is more than enough, we tend to hold back not realizing that what we have is a seed that can multiply.
The boy in the Bible had to be willing to let go of what he had for everyone else to benefit. I think one of the reasons we do not see the principle of Multiplication at work in our lives is that we choose to keep what we have because we see it as small. For example you would keep 1 Emalangeni in your pocket and not offer it because it just seems insufficient but we forget that the Lord can multiply it just as he did with the loaves and fish. Many people believe they have nothing when this is not infact true, realize that you have something & that your life can change once you begin to understand this spiritual principle. The great thing about principles is that they work for anyone, anywhere, all you have to do is apply yourself and the Principle will do the rest.
In conclusion the principle of Multiplication is at work and it's evidence is all available all around us, we my just choose to not see it and apply it.
