The Power of The Tongue
Proverbs 18:21
Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat its fruits.
Our tongues are the custodians of our destiny, whatever we speak becomes real.
Many people are living in perpetual failure and pain because of the words they have dared to utter. Those who say "I am blessed", are indeed blessed and those who say "I am cursed", are indeed cursed.
Words carry power but many of us do not realise this hence we speak anyhow not minding our language. Our words are prophetic by nature though we may not realise this. Elon Musk is where he is today not only because he is a "genius" but also because of the words he spoke. He said he(Tesla Company) will build the first fully autonomous electric car and went on to do it.
We all have the power to build or destroy and it is in our tongues. Look over your whole life, try to remember things you had spoken long time ago and realise that it has manifested and that you are living in a present reality that you have created with your own mouth. We must begin to change our speech therefor in order to manifest a different reality. Your mouth does not only contain victory but also defeat, and it is up to you to choose what you want to activate through your words.
Many are always complaining about how unfair life is, they keep speaking negatively about their lives and then they wonder how they live in a loop of negative outcomes, yet they created their outcomes through what came out of their mouths. Joshua Maponga once said "It has been proven that most people commit scuicide years after they have decided to not do it, because they said it". He went on to explain that the mind is the control centre of the body and whatever you say the body looks for an opportunity to make it happen. This is the psychology of humans, we are able to make that which we say happen.
Your words create your world, begin to look over your life and figure out what you spoke that created your present reality. Individuals who are very spiritual understand this concept, hence they mind their words. When you say "I am disadvantaged", you affirm and declare it and the laws of the universe are precise, such that they create what you say. Our words are like seeds that we are continually sowing and continually reaping.
We all know that God used words to create and that man is the only thing he actually made with his hands. He said "Let there be" and there it was. Today remember that you are made by a creative God and he has given you the very same power to create with your words. Whenever there is confusion you can say "Let there be clarity", and it will manifest.
Those with a carnal mind may not fully comprehend this concept but they will suffer undesirable consequences if they continue speaking anyhow. Bishop David Oyedepo said "You have been saying what they are saying, that's why you keep seeing what you are saying". How many of the people do you interact with are negative, lost and depressed? Listen to how they speak and you will soon realize they might have brought it upon themselves by their words. Change your language and use the power of the tongue, it is never too late to start.
I know it is not easy to begin to change they way you talk because it has become a habit but habits can be changed, new philosophies can be learnt and applied as long as you dedicate yourself to changing your life & the world for the better. Our words contain victory & defeat, life & death but the great news is that it is up to you to make a choice. Our words create our world and if you do not believe me, keep on speaking negatively & hopelessly and you will reap the fruits of your words.
Everytime you speak question if you are building or destroyiong. Are we conveying love and hope, Faith or Doubt? Our words can either give people hope or discourage them. Words are tools that can be used to make life better or worse.Ephissians 4:29 reads as follows “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen”.
