Poor Management
The late Dr Myles Munroe once said"What you do not manage, you will lose".One clearly has to be a good manager in order to acquire things and to achieve goals .
We need to therefor learn to become good managers or "custodians ", in order to achieve & increase. Many of us are living a miserable life because we do not manage anything in our lives, we just do anything at anytime haphazardly without a plan or a purpose.
The difference between the poor & the wealthy, may just be management principles. All the billionaires in the world can tell you today that there is a lot of management built into their life. They manage money, people & systems. Poor people do not have proper systems hence they remain bound by poverty. We all know that financial status is not just by coincidence but by lifestyle or attitude , for there is a system at work in everyone's life.
Take writing this book for instance, it requires that I manage my time, otherwise I would just never find the time to make it happen. At a convention I recently attended I heard somebody say "If you do not make time to do something you will not do it", in other words if you do not set time to do a certain task, it will not be done. This is the essence of time management, all the effective & successful people plan their days ahead. They simply wake up and execute what they previously planned.
It is therefor imperative that we understand times and seasons(like the sons of Issachar). Schools have a time management system (Time table) that helps students and educators keep track of time (time management). This enables effective learning to take place, now if this does not prove my point I do not know what will. If you are reading this you have time (we do not know how much we have left but how much we have spent)and my goal is to convince you that you can get more out of life by managing the time you have left here on earth effectively.
1.The wealthiest people (5%) and the "other group" of people(95%) have the same amount of time.
2.The most influential people and those with less influence have the same amount of time.
3.The wisest people and the most foolish people have the same amount of time.
The difference here is MANAGEMENT.
Many resources have to be managed wisely otherwise they will be lost. Managers in the corporate world understand the concept I am writing about in this text. They understand that for the company to run effectively and efficiently they have to manage a lot of resources, departments and people (FINANCES, SALES, MARKETING, HR). The most successful businesses are the ones that not only have the best teams but also the best managers.I would argue that our continent is in this state because of poor management and that changes have to made if we want to see improvements.
This is why we have people who win the Lotto or get an inheritance and they spend it all and they find themselves in debt, the problem here is mismanagement.
God gave us the world so we could manage it, because he finds us worthy of such a responsibility.
