Educated To Fail

Our education system has limited us - we are a people who have neglected puorpose and rather have been led to survival.

We spend a lot of time in classrooms where we are taught information that does not equip us for the present world and what God has individually called us to do. Our objective at the end of the day is to find employment and work for money. It is good to have money but what use is it when we feel unhappy and drained because ultimately we know we are not living for the unique purpose God made us for.

It is easier to accept that we are living in a world full of systems that lead us to be salary minded than to actually stop and ask this very important question "What am i here for". I want to clearly state that I do not have a problem with education but with our education system. My ideal system of learning would be structured in a way that it leads us to persue calling not money.

The factory model of education was a product of the industrial revolution - where systematic and trained people were needed in order to run and maintain a lot of systems. A factory focuses of producing a certain product at a certain time - we are the product of a failing and irrelevant factory of education. At first the education system seemed to be sustainable but today it is failing because many educated people are unemployed, poor because of the oversupply of the same skills.

It is my belief that most people desire to live above average lives and afford any thing they may want at any given point. Most employees are just living above the water and they are not thriving because their time is controlled hence they cannot explore other avenues of generating money. Our parents were taught and told that "education is the key to success" i believe there is some truth to this statement, in the sense that it is one of the pillars of success. Unfortunately the statement was interpreted as the schooling system is the key to success but if this is so why are so many people not successful?

I think we must first define success on an individual level not based on other people's opinions. A college degree for me is not success. Success for me is living peacefully, joyfully and righteously whislt working on what i have been called for. I believe i have been called for many things for instance writing this piece of work.

I know many people have an idea of what they have been called for but out of fear we never persue that which God made us for. I am not writing this to blame people for being educated but simply stating the obvious. I applaud everyone who wakes up every day and makes a living for themselves but i believe so much potential is lying dormant inside those same people.

The world we live in has led us to believe that the purpose of life is to make money, have children - build homes and then die. I believe we all have a unique purpose that cannot be copied and pasted and that we must strive towards discovering our own purpose. Time is a gift to be used wisely knowing very well that we will not live forever. We all have talents, dreams, visions, inclinations and gifts - signs that are signaling to us our purpose.

NOTE : I AM NOT SAYING WE MUST BE UNEDUCATED OR UNEMPLOYED BUT WE MUST NOT COMPLETELY IGNORE PURPOSE AND CALLING.
