The Wilson Law
The Wilson law suggests that wealth is not an immediate goal but a byproduct of prioritizing knowledge and intelligence. Instead of chasing money directly, individuals should focus on their personal and intellectual growth.
The men behind this law is James Wilson, (born Sept. 14, 1742, Fife, Scot.—died Aug. 21, 1798, Edenton, N.C., U.S.), colonial American lawyer and political theorist, who signed both the Declaration of Independence (1776) and the Constitution of the United States (1787).[https://www.britannica.com/biography/James-Wilson-United-States-statesman]
It is my belief that we all desire to be wealthy so we can live our lives free from the constraints that come by as a result of poverty. Why is it then that in a world where money is of outmost Importance, many people are without it? According to this law many of us do not posess vast knowledge that people find value in. This leads me to note that we can accumulate wealth by becoming more knowledgeable. By prioritizing knowledge and intelligence we can get a better compensation for our services over time.
When we become experts in a certain field we become highly-rated and by consequence our compensation has to soar to reach new heights. This is why somene who is a cardiologist earns considerably more than a nurse, the only difference is the quality of skill & knowledge. The nurse does have some knowledge about the heart but it is shallow compared to that of a cardiologist.
Application of this law on a personal or corporate domain will yield visible results over-time. My hope is that we dedicate ourselves to seeking more information (become more intelligent) & applying it so we can receive more returns. In the word's of the great late Jim Rohn "Your level of success will never surpass your level of self development". We must be intentional about becoming more intelligent and higly knowledgeable in order to amass wealth. Instead of blindly chasing money, money will chase after you if you invest in yourself (By Becoming more intelligent /knowledgeable /Wise).
Bishop Dr J V Hlatshwako always says "The quality of your life is determined by the revelation you have about who Jesus Christ is". The revelation he speaks about is knowledge about who Jesus Christ is. This is echoed by the Wilson law in that your networth is determined by knowledge(and intelligence) you posess.
