Favor with God & Men
The rules of Yaweh and the laws of human nature regulate the world in which we live. It is crucial that we are well-liked by both God and those who have been designated to "dominate" the earth.
Certain possibilities and breakthroughs, in my opinion, come from the Almighty, while others come through mankind (since God made men to govern the world and be Kingdom representatives or Christ Ambassadors). Being a person of faith is one of the theological things we may do to gain God's favor. According to the Bible, faith without actions is dead; thus, we must emulate Abraham and demonstrate living faith, which will earn us God's favor. Another thing we may do to gain God's favor is to love everyone in the world as he has loved us; love is one of the "major keys" in the Kingdom.
In this writing, I want to focus on how we might acquire favor with men (and hence with God); paradoxically, my writing will revolve around what I referred to as a "major key" in the paragraph before this one.
“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52
I believe Jesus gained in favor with men because he is a man of love, which means that if we are people of "hate," we will fall out of favor with both men and God. When we love people, we look for ways to serve and protect them, to provide for them and to share with them. It is critical that we have pure intentions/motives for God and that people can identify our intentions; most significantly, this brings the Kingdom of heaven to earth (Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done).
(https://northstar.church/jesus-grew-in-favor-with-god/) "Many people in the Bible grew in favor. Joseph experienced favor because the Lord was with Him. (Genesis 39:3-4) Moses found favor in the sight of God. (Exodus 33:17) Samuel found favor with the Lord and with people. (1 Samuel 2:26) Mary, the mother of Jesus, found favor with the Lord. (Luke 1:30) David found favor with the Lord. (Acts 7:46) We can find favor with God as well. "
If we intend to be influential individuals and outstanding ambassadors of the Kingdom, we must study the lives and ideologies of the people who rose to prominence in the Bible. Living a life of faith and love is something we should do so that we may live the quality life we were intended to live, not so that we can help others.
Do you realize that if you had a good relationship with Bill Gates or Oprah Winfrey, some things would be easier for you to obtain not just because of your talents or intellect, but also because you had a good relationship with those in positions of power? If you were hungry but couldn't afford to buy food for whatever reason, but you had a good relationship with someone who did, you wouldn't sleep on an empty stomach. My goal is to underscore how critical it is that while we grow in stature, we also grow in wisdom and FAVOR with God and mankind.
