Tributaries And Rivers 2 [The Law Of Honor Series]

Tributaries are streams and their contents are deposited in rivers. This analogy is the same as depositing money in a bank... A tributary state is a term for a pre-modern state in a particular type of subordinate relationship to a more powerful state which involved the sending of a regular token of submission, or tribute, to the superior power (the suzerain).

The noun tributary is related to the word tribute and both come from the Latin word tributum, meaning “a thing contributed or paid.” Long ago, a tributary was someone who was forced to pay a person or group in return for protection namely from those who received the tribute.

To receive the best, we must give the best. If you want to buy a Rolls Royce, you need to pay millions... To get the best you pay the most and to get the worst you must pay the least amount of money. The idea here is when you value something you honor it...When you love someone you honor them. 

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.. God gave us his best, he honored us as his creation. He loves us so much that no price tag can be placed on us, for we are made in the image of the creator. My whole point of this writing is to plead with you that we too honor him in return by giving him our best. 

What if you get what you give? For we are told that to he who much was given much was expected.

Who do you give  your time to? 

Who do you give most praise to? 

Who do you give most of your money to?

Begin to give much to God and he will give much to you. You have to do your part, you have to make a sacrifice for him. A sacrifice of time, a sacrifice of praise, a financial sacrifice.. For it is the Blessing of the Lord that has carried you not your own will.. 

If you really know God, surely you know he deserves the best. For he is the King of all Kings. Understand that life is more spiritual that physical, that is why we are called to walk by faith not by sight. You need to honor him before you honor anybody else. Hierachy and priority is very crucial. What will persistently grow in your life is what you give top priority (place at the top of hierarchy). Put God first, honor him for he deserves the best of the best. Blessed is the hand that giveth.. 

It is easier for us to honor musicians, politicians and Prime Ministers but we fail to honor the King of Kings. God wants to partner with us.If you will plant a seed and pray it rains, he will pour out a blessing.What I mean is if you honor him with your works he will Breathe on your efforts. The big question is what if he is giving to the level at which we give ? 

At times we want God to give everything while we sit on the sidelines and give NOTHING. But he is a fair God, he wants you to discover your strength by helping you fight your weaknesses. Partner up with him because "knowing" him means having a relationship with him & relationships always require exchange. A one way relationship is DYSFUNCTIONAL, Put some function into your relationship with God and honor him just as he has honored you. For he is worthy.

Give it all to him, be a contributor not only just a taker....Honor him for he is the river of overflowing life, eternal life. He who knew you before the foundations of the earth we established, he orders your steps for he is a good Shepard. I know we may pretend we are all strong but he is the Almighty and should be honored as such. Who besides he deserves all the honor of the children? 

In this context we are the "tributary" and he is the ever flowing river of eternal life. 

Pour out your praise 

Pour out your heart 

Pour out your time 

Pour out your mind 

Puor out you money 

Pour out your worship 

Pour out your weakness 

Pour out your attention 

Pour out you situation 

Pour out your stress (cast your worries unto him)

A Transformed Mind

Many of us are rigid in thought hence we are stagnant in life. The good news is that we have the ability to change our minds - our thought patterns (perceptions, beliefs..)
