How Bright is Your Light

There is a Christian song that goes:

"This Little light of Mine, I am gonna let it shine"Today I want to share my thoughts on light, I believe we all have light.

There is a whole different conversation to be had about the song I referenced to in the above paragraph, especially the part where it goes "little" light but that is for another day or another blog post to be specific. Maybe the next one, we are gonna see...

Today I want you to examine your life, your efforts and actions, is there any light there?The Bible Says in Matthew Chapter 5 verse 14; You are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. The Bible says you are light, meaning you are an illumination. Maybe my title  should have been "Do you Know that You are the Light of the World", because the Bible says you are the light, not just any light, THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.

A great man of God said "It is your light that will chase the darkness away". We are all ministers and preachers, not literally but we are all advocates or "haters" of something or someone. In every space that you may be in that is your arena to shine, to uplift and to illuminate the light that you are. When I say we are preachers I mean we are atmospheres that are able to influence the areas they surround even if we are not aware. Take the way we treat other people, a great action often takes us further in the right direction, if we treat people with kindness, they learn from us and they learn from your actions.

You do not have light but you are the light, now that we have established this truth, the question is how can we increase the Light? The more the light is, it leaves less room for darkness. At your work place be the light, in your family be the light, anywhere you are influence that place with light and things will change. We can increase the light by changing ourselves, transforming and transfiguring our minds & hearts. The word of God is a great weapon against darkness, the more time you spend with him or in him, the greater the light you are will be. In Genesis the Bible says God said Let there be Light and there it was, this is the very light that you are.

It is you who can increase your light, the people will not come to you but they will be drawn closer to the illumination of your light. I hope you understand what I mean with this statement. Arise and shine, do not believe the lies of the enemy that say you have no light and your are in darkness counter these lies with the truth I have now shared with you. He who is in darkness is the devil, and you are not a child of the devil but the child of God.

Many people in the virtual world of Social  media use the platforms to attack people who have achieved things they cannot even dream of. They disrespect them, ridicule them and blow their mistakes out of proportion as if they are less of a human being , as if their success means they are perfect. What a painful truth, the spirit of negativity fills most people but we can overturn this with the light that we are. A modern day poet by the name of J. Cole said something about some people making millions and others making memes, how do you ridicule someone who is a brighter illumination instead of asking for advice or learning from them. The so called cyber bullies and internet trolls, want the light the successful people have and they somehow think by making your light less brighter theirs shine brighter but this is not the case, this is just envy.

One reason we tend to see more darkness in the world is because we allow it to be there by keeping our light "little". Everytime you gossip, does that bring light or darkness? Really think about this and you will find the answer, I cannot answer this for you. Do you think everytime you get depressed, Jesus is happy? No he is not, the darkness is in the character of the devil, he is the one that makes you envy other people because of their light. It is not our fault that you choose to ignore your light and allow it to burn out.

Wherever there is light we can go further and see further, if you have a torch and I have a torch and we turn them on we can combine our light and make it bigger. I mean that if we come together to build things that will fill the world with the light we will see further.

Be excited about he who created the universe for it is he who made you light, do not allow the devil to take your light. Do not revenge when people hurt you or turn against them for that is the spirit of darkness, forgive them say you meant it for evil but God made it good . Remove their guilt with your light. Many people are excited by darkness you can hear it in their speech "It is because I was born in Eswatini", "There is nothing for me here, I do not know why I am here" as you speak those words and think those thoughts the devil is rejoicing for you have forgotten you are the light of the world.

For me to write these words I am spreading my light, you may not physically see this but it is always happening. As soon as these words hit your eyes, I want you to see and experience light that he who is above gave me . Your light will increase by the words(The word of God) that are spoken to you, be in a place where there is a abundance of the word of God and your light will increase.

You are the light but what usually controls our minds is the information we receive and the information we choose to believe. I do not know how many people I have shared my dreams and my visions with and they started doubting my sanity, I do not blame them for I dream bigger everyday but my point is I choose to not believe them when they call me "crazy" because I am the light of the world and I am not in this world to do small things and achieve nothing. I do not speak about situations as they are but I speak about them as they can be through the light I am and through the name of Jesus Christ.

May everyone who see you, see the light.
May the people who read these words experience the light and be transformed and moved to a new dimension of brightness, brightness that will blind the enemy.

A Transformed Mind

Many of us are rigid in thought hence we are stagnant in life. The good news is that we have the ability to change our minds - our thought patterns (perceptions, beliefs..)
