The Rock of Ages
The truth that God is the rock of ages is multi-dimensional and revelational. This metaphor shows that no matter what happens, he will always be there and never change. He stays the same forever.
This truth must bring joy and peace to every believer of the living God . Pastor Michael Phillips (The Potters House) expressed it like this "God is the constant and we are the variable " . This simply means that he remains the same and gives us time as an opportunity to change ourselves and our circumstances. I have heard many people in my native language siSwati say "rather trust a stone than a person ", I say to you "Trust the rock of ages".
Ecclisiastes 3 talks of a set time for everything beneath the sky ,tragically most of us crave as it were a particular time and detest the rest. What we must acknowledge is that as long as we are beneath the sun ,diverse occasions will take place. What we must discover consolation in is that the God who exists exterior of time includes a divine plan for us that goes before the starting of this world .Numerous are times we are battling fights that we must let go of and figure it out that certain things are pre-destined .Not that we must lay down and acknowledge defeat and be aimless but that we must pray for direction and acumen so we don't squander vitality on the off-base battles.
The parable of wheat and weeds told by Jesus to his disciples in Matthew 13 is a sign for us that we ignore .My research revealed that "The Parable of the Wheat & Weeds teaches us that God does have a plan for this world and He is working to accomplish it. However, it is unfolding over time and that means there’s some waiting to do, something we find difficult. Jesus is teaching us patience – the patience of a God who chooses to delay His judgment."
The full point I composed this content is to remind myself and the peruser that God is continuously in control ,for he is the cornerstone of ages.At times we may be frightened of the foe and we disregard that nothing and no one is greater than God. He is never changing and has no developing and maturing to do like us soil tenants.
Many are times we attempt to control things by our strength and might and we forget that we can only do some much .Also I want you to realise that God has a plan for your life that supercedes what you can imagine ,hence at times we a frustrated and angry because we only perceive through our limited perspective which is bound within time.
