Fall In Love with the Process
Many of us commit the fatal error of falling in love with our objectives (destinations) rather than the process of getting there. As a result, the majority of the journey is spent feeling frustrated and angry, and the only time we experience happiness and fulfillment is once we arrive.
Since no one can guarantee tomorrow, we must find fulfillment here and now. Not that we shouldn't have goals, but we should learn that the actual joy is found in the here and now. Although the journey is full of disappointments, heartache, and mountain peaks and valleys, it is this very process that shapes and grows us to get us ready for our destinations. The process provides us with "experiential knowledge" that money cannot buy. Therefore, we must learn that there are huge gems concealed along the way to achieving whatever your heart wishes.
In mathematics, solving equations and working through problems (the journey) carries more marks (rewards) than coming up with the correct answer (the destination). The voyage produced the answer, and without the travel there would be no other way to go to the required locations. I've seen that most people endure constant suffering because they detest the journey but adore the end result.Your life will undergo a significant transformation if you fall in love with the agricultural process rather than the produce (fruit or vegetables) you will harvest.
This idea was introduced to me in James Clear's ground-breaking book Atomic Habits, and it completely altered the way I process and think. My opinion is that developing a love for the process can enhance both our mental and emotional health as well as our quality of life. This implies that instead of pursuing some far-off objective, we will be fulfilling our aspirations in the here and now.
1. Fall in love with the process involved in acquiring money rather than the money itself.
2. Fall in love with training rather than with scoring a goal.
3. Develop a passion for baking instead of falling in love with the "cake."
Always keep in mind that the journey is preparing you for the final destination.
