The "Free" Prisoners
The greatest way to prevent a prisoner from escaping is to make sure he never realizes he is in prison, according to a famous philosopher.
I have several inquiries for you:
Are you truly liberated?
Can you do as you please?
Possibility to express oneself?
able to be who you are?
Unaffected by the views of others?
Are you free to buy whatever you want?
In my view, colonization of the mind rather than of the land (or countries) is what freedom means. In addition to colonialism,p I also want to talk about the prison of our own limited self-belief. The second prison I'll discuss is the financial prison that many of us have spent our entire lives in.
Many of us are "captured" in our own imaginations, not by the steel gates and walls of prisons. The mind is bound by limiting thoughts and the "virus" of a negative mindset, even when the body appears to be free. Worse even, most of us are bound until we pass away since we are unaware that we are "Prisoners."
Then, we cannot act as though we are not bound or ensnared by those things that we are unable to escape. Systems abound in our environment, some of which liberate us and others of which ensnare us.
1. Identity is a trap in itself. The majority of people have taken on an identity that does not liberate them but rather encloses them.
The perspective we have on who we are (identification) is one of the greatest things that controls people since perspective impacts us more than reality. Some people have come to think they are failures who will never accomplish anything worthwhile. The way we live our lives makes this clear; we never try to do anything because we think we would fail, so we don't even try.
We keep failing in life to reinforce our identity, which increases the speed with which we are moving in the wrong direction. The biggest prison, instead of a Silivri Prison, is a person's head.
Some of us are beginning to take on the "More Than A Conqurer" identity in order to liberate ourselves and walk and talk in absolute dominance in all circumstances and at all times.
2. Money "rules" the world in which we live. As said in Proverbs 22:7
The lender is the borrower's slave, while the rich rule over the poor.
The Bible emphasizes in this verse that individuals without money will always be submissive to those who have the means.
Financial independence involves effective management and moral accounting procedures, not only the ability to purchase whatever at any time. Wealthy people are good, not bad, stewards of their resources. I realize that those who are less fortunate often think that wealthy individuals get their fortune by dubious means, but this is not always the case.
My argument is that being wealthy will free you from the chains of poverty that have kept some of us inert for our entire lives. Sometimes it's better to avoid criticizing the wealthy and instead take notes and undertake research to learn how they operate. If you believe money is not a vital aspect of life, that is OK; nonetheless, you will need it sooner or later, and those with the means will give it to you in exchange for something (TIME, LOYALTY, ENERGY, IDEAS).
3.People's Reactions (Banftu Batotsini Syndrome)
-This was dubbed the "Language of the Poor" by Jim Rohn.
We are constantly obsessed with the opinions of others, as if our own must be validated. We are constantly seeking for new methods to impress our friends and family. This is one of humanity's most powerful fortresses.
Vusi Thembekwayo, a walking dictionary in my opinion, described "society" as a system of normalized averages.
Society encourages us to conform to certain norms, and no one wants to be the odd one out. We are constantly seeking a sense of belonging in a certain group in order to be considered "normal." Perhaps we were not created to be normal or to fit in. It makes no difference what others say since they will always talk, whether you are a Bishop or a gang member.
What I'm trying to convey is that people will always have something to say, so do what works for you because we'll talk anyway.People who lead full lives aren't influenced by the opinions of men, therefore they act as they choose at the appropriate times. Not that you should completely ignore what others have to say, but rather that you should consider their opinions before making a decision. Make sure that what you do is a result of your own conclusions, as Jim Rohn once advised. The most successful people are willing to take risks and no longer wait for outside validation of their beliefs and ideologies.
